Winter and Christmas

Yes, it's that time of year where the lawn furniture has been put away at all our homes in the Northeast and the snow shovels are placed by the door at the ready for our first snow storm of the season. The bird feeders are full and we have noticed squirrels have been busy storing their food the winter. We had our first dusting of snow last Friday which set the scene for the second weekend of Prelude. It's such a peaceful time of the year!

Christmas Prelude has come and gone once again this year. 2006 marked the 25th anniversary of Prelude and ushered in a new Prelude event, the first 'hat parade'. We saw over 300 entrants march down to Dock Square with their regalia and the winner donned a moose hat. One of our guests participated as he's been wearing his hat over the past three years...without the parade! Why not make it part of your plans for next year, book your room now.

Holidays are the perfect time for family and friends. Many will be traveling to see their loved ones. This year both Christmas and New Years fall on a Monday making for a three day weekend for most. Hopefully we'll all have the time to enjoy the full meaning of Christmas and share the spirit of the season.

Sue and I wish all our guests and future guests a Happy and Holy Holiday Season!
